We Gotta Shout! will pay tribute to a memorable moment where the worlds of gospel and jazz came together for a March 1963 recording that joined the legendary Dukes of Dixieland with Clara Ward and Her Gospel Singers. This landmark recording has never been performed for a live audience and will include eleven contemporary arrangements of the gospel songs on the record.
The CCJO has received a matching grant from ArtsWave of $5,000 for this project, but we cannot make this happen without your support. In order to receive the funds, the CCJO must raise at least $5,000.
